Season 1, Episode 16: Shadow

"You and me and Dad - we're supposed to be together again.  We're supposed to be a family again."
The boys are in Chicago for "Shadow"!  Wooooo!  Having just gone to Chicago for the first time a couple of weeks ago with Erin (shoutout to the only one who's reading this blog ;) ), I'm super excited about all things Chicago.  Even if this wasn't actually filmed there.  Chicago is probably the only thing that has me ready to watch "Bloodlines" again, haha.  Anyway, I digress.  "Shadow"!
  • Burglar alarms don't do much when you're dealing with the supernatural, kiddo.  Enjoy a couple sips of that beer, Meredith.
  • I'm sorry, in 2006, Meredith would not be coming home to messages on her answering machine - definitely not three of them.  Cell phones anyone?
  • Blood spatter count: 1.
  • I love the the boys are wearing security uniforms with their real names on them.
  • Holy CRAP Sam looks like a giant in this scene.  Can't find an image of it on Google Images and it's almost enough to make me pull out the iPad so I can screenshot it.  That was pretty hilarious.
  • "Your alarm's about as useful as boobs on a man."
  • "So to recap, the only successful intel we've scored so far is the bartender's phone number."
  • Ugh.  Meg.
  • "I met something Michael Murray at a bar."  Ha.  Nice, Meg.
  • "There's something about this girl that I can't quite put my finger on."  "Yeah, but I bet you'd like to!"
  • Dean's reaction to Sam saying he wants to go back to school - "I'm not going to live this life forever. When this is all over, you're going to have to let me go my own way."  I'm so glad Sam didn't follow through on that.
  • Seriously - Rachel Miner was way less annoying than this.
  • I can't take the boys' reactions when John is waiting for them. Hugs all around.
  • This "yes sir" that the boys keep giving John is so weird to me.  Sam and Dean don't "yes sir" anyone!
  • Sixteen episodes searching for John, just to let him go.  Tears all around.
