Season 3, Episode 9: Malleus Maleficarum

"'Look, Dean, you're leaving - right?  And I gotta stay here in this craphole of a world. Alone.  So the way I see it, if I'm gonna make it, if I'm gonna fight this war after you're gone, then I gotta change."  "Change into what?"  "Into you.  I gotta be more like you."
"Detective Bachman and Detective Turner.  Nice aliases.  #Supernatural #Season3"
"The woman has the pointiest chin I've ever seen.  #Supernatural #Season3"

Thoughts now:

  • This episode creeps the hell out of me.  Teeth falling out of someone's mouth?  Maggots in a burger? The one girl's wrists slitting right in front of her face?  So creepy.
  • I forgot that "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" was in this show - gotta add it to the soundtrack.  Even if it is played right before one of the grossest scenes EVER
  • "Why does the rabbit always get screwed in the deal?  The poor little guy."  Awww, sweet Dean.
  • Holy crap, this lady really DOES have a super pointy chin.
  • Dean doesn't meet Ruby until the ninth episode of Season 3?
  • "I'm not talking about witches, you jackass!  Witches are whores."  Hahaha.  I love Season 3 Ruby.
  • Man.  If only Sam hadn't stopped Dean from shooting Ruby . . .  then Jared Padalecki might still be single right now.
  • Um... Dean was coughing up blood and felt like his insides were being ripped open.  And Sam's first reaction is to drive to the witches' house?  How the hell did he think he was going to get there in time?
  • Ruby's "stop calling me bitch" - good for you, Original Ruby.  Stand up for yourself.
  • "It's called witchcraft, shortbus."  "You're the shortbus, shortbus!"
  • Yay - pointy chin's neck was snapped.
  • Did we ever see GenPad's eyes go black when she was Ruby?  I can't remember it happening, and I feel like I've watched Season 4 more frequently.  I guess I'll find out soon enough.  Like WHEN I START SEASON 4 TOMORROW.
  • This conversation between Dean and Ruby about how demons used to be human, but forgot what they were - since Dean became a demon without spending centuries in hell, I'd like to think, to hope, that he'll still have his humanity?  He has to, right?  He has to.  Ughhh, have I mentioned in this rewatch yet how much I can't handle how Season 9 ended?
  • "I remember what it's like.  Being human."
  • "Son of a bitch" count: 1
