Season 4, Episode 10: Heaven and Hell
"It wasn't four months, you know. . . . It was four months up here, but down there . . . I don't know. Time's different. It was more like 40 years. . . . They, uh . . . they sliced and carved and tore at me in ways that you . . . Until there was nothing left. And then, suddenly . . . I would be whole again . . . like magic . . . just so they could start in all over. And Alastair . . . at the end of every day . . . every one . . . he would come over. And he would make me an offer. To take me off the rack . . . if I put souls on. . . if I started the torturing. And every day, I told him to stick it where the sun shines. For 30 years, I told him. But then I couldn't do it anymore, Sammy. I couldn't. And I got off that rack. God help me, I got right off it, and I started ripping them apart. I lost count of how many souls. The -- the things that I did to them. . . How I feel . . . This . . . inside me . . . I wish I couldn't feel anything, Sammy. I wish I couldn't feel a damn thing.
- First time that Sam calls Castiel "Cas."
- Also the first time we see the angels get banished . . . it's actually pretty cool, it's like Cas and Uriel get sucked off into the light, as opposed to just disappearing.
- "Dude, you're confusing reality with porn again."
- If I were Pamela, there's nothing you say to me that would get me to help the Winchesters after I got my eyes burned out thanks to them.
- "Sister, you're the Stanley Cup." Hooray for a hockey reference.
- "You're pretty buff for a nerd."
- Anna says only four angels have seen God's face - I guess Metratron was one of them.
- "An angel and a demon riding in the backseat - it sounds like the set up to a bad joke." It's kind of funny how that bad joke happens again in Season 9 when Dean is driving around Cas and Crowley.
- "Dude. Reality. Porn."
- Dean and Anna's sex scene seemed kind of abrupt - but it did seem kind of right how Dean had sex with an angel the episode after Sam had sex with a demon.
- Man, is Uriel a dick. I can't watch Robert Wisdom in anything else without hating him because I hate Uriel so much.
- "He has this weakness. He likes you."
- "They gave him a choice. They either kill me or kill you."
- That last scene with Dean confessing about Hell . . . I just want to wipe those tears from his eyes.
