"I swore to myself that I would never go back there."Lawrence, Kansas. Back where it all started. I watched this episode with my aunt a couple of weeks ago (along with the next two on my rewatch list), but since it wasn't part of the official rewatch, it didn't count. So here we go again.
What I said then:
Loretta Devine on #Supernatural . . . awww, love her.

It's like a Grey's Anatomy mini-reunion in this episode of #Supernatural.

What I think now:
- Sammy's dreams and his "psychic thing" first come to light. To be honest, I'd kind of forgotten all about that.
- Sam and Dean have given their real names in almost every episode this season so far.
- Richie always seems a little bit too old to me to be hanging out in the playpen and just yelling "juice" all the time.
- Sam went 22 years without knowing that Dean carried him out the front door that night, but his reaction when he finds out - perfection. He looks so genuinely touched.
- Dean's freckles . . . so cute.
- The phone call Dean makes to John, when he gets all choked up... ahhhh. "And in 'Home' when Dean had to call John and ask him for help . . . gosh . . . if only real men were so open and in touch with their feelings."
- The clapping monkey freaks me out EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I always hated those toys.
- Dude, you NEVER stick your hand down a garbage disposal. Ever.
- Loretta Devine is perfect in this role, and I would love, love, love to see Missouri again.
- It always bugged me that the refrigerator was that empty that Richie could just climb right in and up. I know they just moved in, but to be able to fit a little kid in there? C'mon Jenny, what are you feeding your kids?
- And also . . . Richie didn't even cry!
- "Take your brother outside, as fast as you can, and don't look back." I just got choked up. Such great symmetry there.
- The Mary Winchester reveal the first time - the look on Dean's face when he realized... the boys swallowing and getting choked up when they saw her... I just want to hug them both.
- Mary's apology . . . originally I thought she was just apologizing for the fact that Jessica had died the same way, but on rewatch and knowing what I know now, I'm thinking it had to have been for making the deal with Azazel, right?
- "Don't you boys be strangers." "We won't." And yet we never saw Missouri again. Sigh.
- The Jeffrey Dean Morgan reveal at the end of this episode - so good. I have such complicated feelings about John Winchester.
