"I owe you the biggest 'I told you so' ever."
I didn't know what Jus In Bello meant until I saw it on MarkWatches.net . . . apparently it is a Latin term that means "the law in waging war." I suppose it's fitting for this episode.
- Bela has more leather jackets in more colors than anyone I've ever seen. Red, purple, camel colored . . . I want them all.
- Of course she would tip them off to Hendrickson. That bitch.
- Hendrickson's a TAD bit dramatic comparing Dean to Hannibal Lector
- Thanks to Courtnie, every time I hear the name "Nancy", I think "Aunt Nancy"
- "I got a lot to celebrate. I mean, after all, seeing you two in chains . . ." "You kinky son of a bitch."
- Poor Hendrickson . . . never got his surf and turf
- What is with these boys getting shot in episodes and then moving right along and being absolutely fine within the same episode? When, again, Sam broke his wrist and had a cast for like 8 episodes?
- "It's like we've got a contract on us. Think it's because we're so awesome?" Yes. I do.
- I kind of like Season 3's thing of all the demons traveling en masse in a big cloud of smoke - it's very Lost-esque
- First time we get to see the boys' tattoos!
- "If it makes you feel better, Big Foot's a hoax."
- "Honestly, I think the world's going to end. But does that mean we shouldn't fight?" I love that conversation between Dean and Hendrickson.
- "Some guts splattered in my mouth while I was killing my way in here." Hilarious, Ruby. Original Ruby was so badass, have I mentioned that yet?
- And . . . first mention of Lilith by name.
- "Nobody's a virgin." Oh, Dean. But way to go Aunt Nancy - way to step it up.
- "If that's how you win wars, then I don't want to win." I do love Dean being all honorable and not willing to sacrifice Aunt Nancy, even though she was willing to save everyone.
- So . . . here's what I don't get. What would have happened if they actually let Ruby do the spell that would have killed all the demons, including her? What was in it for her to die? I get that she wanted Lilith to die, since her endgame was for Lucifer to rise, at least in season 4, but didn't she want to be there for it? And would Sam ever have been powerful enough to kill Lilith and break the final seal if it hadn't been for Ruby and the demon blood in Season 4? I just don't get it.
- "When this is over, I'm gonna have so much sex . . . but not with you."
- The exorcism over the PA system - awesome.
- I did think it was pretty cute that Lilith's first line on the show was to describe the Winchesters by saying "one's really tall and one's really cute" - but then the rest of the episode was so upsetting. :( Bye, Hendrickson. Bye Aunt Nancy.
- Blood spatter count: 1 (when Dean gets SHOT!!!)
- "Son of a bitch" count: 1
