"You can keep going." "Who says I want to?"
The introduction of the Croatoan virus to the mythology - a really neat concept, albeit a pretty terrifying one. To watch a family go crazy and torture their wife/mother - horrible.
- The boys finally got GPS! No more maps for Sammy.
- "You've got a neighbor named Mr. Rodgers?" "Not anymore." That shouldn't be funny, but it was.
- "It's supposed to be tough. We're supposed to struggle with this."
- I loved that Dean refused to leave Sam when they thought he was infected - always looking after Sammy, no matter what.
- I also loved that Dean confessed that they weren't really marshals. Not necessary, but in the grand scheme of things, there was no point keeping it a secret.
- Dean says he's never been to the Grand Canyon in this episode - which means that the farty donkey referenced in Season 8 was an inconsistency. Whoops.
- And the cliffhanger - what did John tell Dean about Sam before he died? I suppose this was the Season 2 midseason finale. A slight improvement over Season 1, but not the most dramatic that the show has done, and even though Season 9 was the only one that I had to actually suffer through a hellatus after, I still think the Season 9 cliffhanger was the worst.
