Season 2, Episode 3: Bloodlust
"Dad's dead. And he left a hole and it hurts so bad you can't take it. But you can't just fill that hole with whoever you want to. It's an insult to his memory."
- "Back in Black" playing as the boys drove off in the Impala again - other Netflix music would have killed that scene, so I'm glad it's only Season 1 that they changed.
- First time that Dean called the car "Baby."
- "You hear a couple of severed heads and a pile of dead cows, and you're Mr. Sunshine."
- "So much effed up crap happens in Florida." SO TRUE.
- First introduction to Gordon. Ugh.
- I love that Ty Olsson played another vampire in this episode. Typecast much?
- And Amber Benson clearly likes the vampire shows. I hadn't watched Buffy yet the first time I saw this episode so didn't really appreciate seeing Tara, but I was pumped to see her in this, and I was pumped to see her again being a voice of reason. I also really want to rewatch Buffy. Just yesterday, I was listening to "Once More With Feeling" in the car on my drive home from Pennsylvania, and all I kept thinking with Lenore was "I'm under your spell..." Haha.
- Dean's remorse towards the end - "what if we killed things that didn't deserve killing?" He and Gordon are NOT the same.
- Blood spatter count: 1.5, if we count all the blood on Dean's face when he killed the vamp.
