Season 1, Episode 3: Dead in the Water

"We will find Dad.  But until then, we're going to kill everything bad between here and there."

• You ever watch an episode, or a movie, that has creepy music in the background so the viewer knows something bad is going to happen, and feel like it's actually playing in the background for the person who is living it?  That's all I could think of during this opening scene in the water.
• Dean's making me sad again with his happiness.
• Is that dock the same place where Cas comes and visits Dean in season 4?
• I hadn't seen Angel yet when I watched this, so it was totally lost on me that Fred was in this episode.
• Fred, you need to take your kid for a haircut.
• The kid drowning in the grossest kitchen sink I've ever seen creeped me out the first time around - of all the farfetched things that have happened in this show, having a teenager drown in the sink is is one of the craziest things it's done.
• I wonder if Lucas's father was Wesley.  I'm going to pretend it was.
• Zeppelin DOES rule.
• Fred's shirt looks like it has a mockingjay on it.  Which is kind of awesome.  Since it was obviously NOT a mockingjay in 2005.
• And, for those of you keeping track, I'm eight minutes ahead of schedule to move on to episode 4.
