Season 2, Episode 4: Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things

"You and Dad are the most important people in my life and now - I never should have come back.  It wasn't natural, and now look what's come of it.  I was dead, and I should have stayed dead.  You wanted to know how I was feeling, well that's it.  So tell me, what could you possibly say to make that alright?"
This episode is relatively forgettable, except for the scene at the end of the end where Dean gives his apology to Sam and we get Dean's first one perfect tear.  Have I used the word "heartbreaking" yet this season?
  • Sam's insistence that the boys visit Mary's grave and Dean's inability to deal with it - very sad.
  • I think this is also the first Casa Erotica mention - Casa Erotica 4.  I love that Sam was the one watching SkinTV and that it was Dean who came in and said "awkward".
  • "We've already lost Dad.  We've lost Mom.  I've lost Jessica.  And now I'm going to lose you too."  I loved it at the beginning when the boys actually got each other to talk about their feelings instead of just lying to each other.
  • Dean's reference to Beaches is hilarious - why on earth he picked that movie as the one to joke that Angela went out to rent is beyond me, but the fact that he did cracked me up.
  • "It takes two to have hardcore sex."  Wise words from Dean Winchester.
  • The first time I watched this episode, I totally missed the fact that Angela tackled Sam, that he landed on his wrist, and that he made the "I think she broke my hand" comment at the end of the episode.  It makes me feel better about the next few episodes with the cast.
  • "He was your dad too.  And it's my fault he's gone. . . Dad's dead because of me, that much I do know."  Oh Dean, I wish I could give you a hug.
  • Blood spatter count - 1.
